Using the Eco Weedkiller in Urban Areas

The Eco Weedkiller Pro SP 3 can be combined with an electric trolly to create a very mobile machine that can access pavements to kill weeds beween the cars and the kerb edge.

A common issue for councils to overcome is weed killing between the cars parked along the road and the pavement. The cars are often so close to the pavement it is impossible to get access with many types of equipment.

Most hot water or foam Weedkillers are so large they require a vehicle to move them around. This is an issue in urban areas where it is often difficult to find somewhere to park the van in order to use the machine. The length of a hose makes it more difficult, as the machine must be moved every time the extent of the hose is reached.

The eco weedkiller Pro SP3 can be put on an electric trolley, making it easy for a pedestrian operator to walk along with the machine on the pavement.

The trolley is very stable and a tracked version is also available for navigating more difficult terrain.

The width of the machine is just 105cm, which is narrow enough to navigate through most obstacles on pavements and pathways. The Disability Discrimination Act recommends that a minimum of 1200mm width of footway should be kept free of obstructions so that wheelchairs are allowed access. Therefore the machine is narrow enough for most pavements, except where they are unable to meet this recommendation.

Hot water is an ideal method for treating around cars, as the boiling water is not hot enough to risk damaging a vehicle, where hot air is potentially higher risk. The Eco Weedkiller is especially useful for the spot treating nature of this type of weeding, as there is no boiler to engage, therefore the trigger can be pressed and released as many times as you like without affecting the water temperature.
